hi, I’m jamie!
I’m a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, and self-belief coach. I love guiding people of all fitness and life backgrounds through their fitness journey. I’ll support you, I’ll challenge you, I’ll joke with you, I’ll listen to you, and I’ll be your accountability buddy.
What’s my story? I played sports throughout my childhood, in college, and as an adult. My favorite sports experience was playing tough rugby in Scotland, where, ultimately, I was a backup on the Scottish national squad. At the many other sports I played I was deeply mediocre, but I loved being on a team and kicking, hitting, or throwing a ball or a hockey puck.
Then, in my early thirties, I joined a strength and conditioning gym (formerly a CrossFit gym) and realized: I can get strong. I hadn’t used a barbell before. I hadn’t tracked my progress on squats or deadlifts or bench press before. But I was taught the correct way to do it to both get strong and avoid injury. Once I started, I was hooked. I started to learn what my body was really capable of, how powerful I could be. And not just in terms of strength – lifting (and rowing and kettlebell swings and burpees and all of it) made me feel like a powerful human in all aspects of my life. Lifting that barbell reminded me that I could do hard things in the rest of my life, too.
I’m grateful for the people that made that possible for me, and as a personal trainer and coach, I want to do the same for you. I want you to know what your body is capable of. I want you to know that you can show up for yourself and that you’re worth showing up for. I want you to be strong for yourself and your kids and your grandkids for years to come.
Strength means different things to different people. Let’s find your strength.
